Neil McCreanor, HCPC Registered Dietitian, Supplementary prescriber

Hello. I’m originally from Northern Ireland but currently working in Hackney for a few GP practices, as well as some work in a mental health hospital; although have pretty much worked in all areas of dietetics over the years.
My interest in nutrition was shaped by experiences with my own gut health, helping me understand first-hand how challenging and impactful gut symptoms can be on daily life.
Through my work in GP practices and as a supplementary prescriber, I’m able to tailor nutrition advice to your medical conditions, medications, and blood or other investigation results, ensuring care that is relevant, safe and personalised. I don’t believe in unrealistic perfection; instead, focusing on achievable, sustainable changes that fit real lives and support long-term health.
Outside of my clinical role, I’m co-lead of the LGBTQ+ Staff Network at Homerton Healthcare and do volunteer work with local community/food charities. I’m also a qualified personal trainer with an interest in fitness/wellbeing — though most importantly valuing balance, social connection, and enjoying life.

clients insights
I came here feeling confused and frustrated with my digestion. Everything felt overwhelming before, but the guidance I received helped me slow down and actually understand what my body was trying to tell me. My bloating has reduced, my meals feel calmer, and for the first time in years I don’t feel at war with my gut.
formerly “always bloated”

I had tried cutting out foods over and over again with little success. What helped here was the focus on routine, stress, and timing — not just food lists. My reflux symptoms are far more manageable now, and I finally feel confident eating without anxiety.

I appreciated how balanced and realistic the approach was. No extremes, no fear-based advice — just steady, practical steps. My digestion feels more stable, my energy is better, and I’ve learned how closely my gut and stress levels are connected.

What stood out most was how listened to I felt. Instead of being told to “fix” myself, I was encouraged to support my body gently. Over time, my symptoms eased, my sleep improved, and food became enjoyable again instead of stressful.
